DuPont Lays Groundwork for a Bright Future
DuPont, a company recognized for over 200 years of discoveries and scientific expertise that have transformed life across many industries, has introduced its new brand identity. Taking another step on its journey to becoming the new DuPont, the company announced the identity and logo of its new global brand while pursuing a customer-directed innovation strategy and purpose-driven culture, and protecting its strong legacy.
DowDuPont announced in February 2018 that, subject to Board approval on 1 June 2019 and customary closing conditions, the DowDuPont Specialty Products Division would become an independent company and continue to bear the DuPont name.
Barbara Pandos, Director of Communications for the DowDuPont Specialty Products Division, commented on the subject: "Our new brand work is one of many steps we have taken in DuPont's transformation and reinforces what we do:
It is helping our customers solve complex problems and turn their best ideas into real products and solutions." She added:
"The new logo preserves the iconic DuPont Oval, which has served as a hallmark of quality, performance and trust for over a century, while going beyond the oval frame to signal openness to collaboration, the flow of new ideas and innovation."
As an innovative company, DuPont discovers high-value specialist solutions that deliver sustainable development and enrich people's daily lives. DuPont's new brand purpose, "Empowering the world with innovations that are fundamental to progress," is grounded in a rich history of discovery and development.
DuPont's best-known product brands are Kevlar® aramids, Tyvek® high-performance materials, Sorona® renewably sourced fabrics and Danisco® food ingredients, while Great Stuff™ insulation foam is also part of the new DuPont portfolio.
