Şanlımeşhur: "We Are Growing in Line with Turkey's Economy"
Delta Vana CEO Cem Şanlımeşhur said: "On this challenging yet enjoyable journey that we started alone 12 years ago, we pursued our dreams by knowing and planning where we wanted to go. Following strategic work we undertook at the beginning of 2017, we decided to continue this journey that started as a valve company as a flow management company. At the point we have reached today, Delta Vana has become the sector's largest distributor in terms of revenue, number of employees and diversity of services offered. In line with Turkey's economy, we are also achieving our growth at a rapid and steady pace," he said.Jafari: "I See a Very Bright Future for Turkey"
Hamid Jafari, General Director of Jesco and of Iranian origin, who provided recommendations to process industry managers, said: "For Turkey's industry to grow, macro work rather than micro work needs to be done. Turkey is currently in a good position in the defense industry. Necessary initiatives must be taken to reach a good position in other industrial sectors. In particular, emphasis should be placed on the production of high value-added products, such as software. Turkey is a country with high production potential; the Turkish people are very hardworking and quickly adapt in every field. Since the Turkish people have a multifaceted comprehension capacity, they can solve complex problems very quickly and pragmatically. Because of these factors I have mentioned, I see a very bright future for Turkey," he said.Çelebi: "While World GDP Increased Approximately 2-fold in 16 Years, Turkey's GDP Increased Approximately 3.4-fold"
Prof. Dr. Serdar S. Çelebi, Professor at Maltepe University and Advisor to TOBB Turkey Chemical Industry Council, touched on important points in Turkey's economy and chemical industry: "According to the IMF report, in 1999 world GDP totaled USD 32.5 trillion, while by the end of 2015 it rose to USD 73.6 trillion. That is, while world GDP increased approximately 2-fold in 16 years, Turkey's GDP increased approximately 3.4-fold. However, when sectoral shares in this increase are examined, it is seen that the share of the Industrial Sector is not at the desired level. The United States and Europe are leading countries in direct foreign investment in the chemical sector, while Asia and the Middle East are among the most invested regions," he said.Advertisement
