Damla Alışan Becomes First Woman to Represent Turkey on WIL's Board of Directors
Alışan Lojistik, part of the global giant PSA Group since 2023 and one of Turkey's leading companies in chemical logistics, has joined the board of directors of the Women in Logistics (WIL) consortium, established to promote diversity and inclusion. Damla Alışan, CEO of Alışan Lojistik, stands out as the first Turkish representative and first Turkish female leader to take part in this important initiative.
Since 2023, part of global giant PSA Group and one of Turkey's leading companies in chemical logistics, Alışan Lojistik has joined the board of Women in Logistics (WIL), a consortium established to increase diversity and inclusion. Damla Alışan, CEO of Alışan Lojistik, stands out as the first Turkish representative and first Turkish female leader in this important initiative.
First Representation from Turkey
WIL, which counts among its founding members leading chemical companies such as Dow, as well as numerous major players in the sector; and is supported by H. Essers, one of Europe's largest integrated logistics companies, the European Chemical Transport Association (ECTA) and the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic), aims to increase gender balance in chemical logistics and create an inclusive work environment. Damla Alişan's participation in this platform, where no representative from Turkey had previously been present, marks a first for both our country and the sector.

Alışan Lojistik CEO Damla Alışan, commenting on her new role, stated: "Greater visibility and effectiveness of women in the logistics sector is not merely a matter of equality, but also a strategic necessity for the future of the business world. Being part of the WIL board gives us the opportunity to represent both Turkey and our company in this transformation. Our aim is to build a more inclusive, innovative and sustainable future in chemical logistics." She added.
Strong Voice in Chemical Logistics
Alışan Lojistik is one of Turkey's strongest players in chemical logistics, with over 40 years of experience. Under the WIL umbrella, the company will provide active contributions to efforts aimed at improving gender balance at every level, from senior management to field operations. WIL's core approach is to both encourage transformation in management structures (top-down) and support ideas and initiatives from employees (bottom-up). It also aims to increase collaboration by sharing best practices among members (inside-out) and to raise awareness in the public for more inclusive policies (outside-in). Alışan Lojistik, in line with these principles, plans to contribute to projects that will help the sector achieve a more just, innovative and sustainable structure.
