Children Coding Their Dreams Amazon Turkey, in collaboration with the Dream Partner Community, announced the "I'm Coding My Dream" project at a fair held in Izmir, where children at village schools take their first steps in gaining STEM skills through coding education. Following the training they received starting in January, children shared their work on the theme "Imagine Your School of the Future" with visitors. Supporting numerous corporate social responsibility projects under its Amazon Smiles initiative, Amazon launched the "I'm Coding My Dream" project, introducing children at village schools in Turkey to coding education at an early age. Under the "I'm Coding My Dream" corporate social responsibility project launched by Amazon Turkey in collaboration with the Dream Partner Community, the necessary educational tools were provided to village schools identified in the Aegean Region to enable students to gain STEM skills, and coding training was offered. Started initially at 2 schools in Torbalı, 2 schools in Bornova, and 1 school in Bergama, the "I'm Coding My Dream" project enabled primary school teachers and primary school-age children to receive training in coding. Within the project scope, Amazon Turkey donated computers, educational and stationery sets, and provided scholarships to students to support the projects they developed. Two teachers from each school received training under the project. Volunteer employees from Amazon Turkey and volunteers from the Dream Partner Community were involved in the preparation processes of the trainers. Teachers met with children and conducted activities during the "I'm Coding My Dream" events held at schools between January and April. Teams of 10 students each, selected from those continuing workshop activities, met at a fair themed "Imagine Your School of the Future" on 29 April, sharing their projects and work with visitors. In addition to students, teachers, Dream Partner and Amazon volunteers attended the fair held at the İzQ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center. Within the scope of the project, students develop their physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills through their work in line with STEM principles, while gaining the opportunity to acquire future skills. We aim to continue the project, which we are implementing hand in hand with both our employees and volunteers, in different regions in the coming periods," he said.
