Clariant Launches New PolyMax 600 Series Performance Catalysts

Clariant expands its portfolio with phthalate-free next-generation olefin polymerization catalysts entering the market.

The new PolyMax 600 Series catalysts, developed jointly with Lummus Novolen^® Technology, a McDermott company, address the industry's growing need for safer polypropylene solutions. Stefan Hauser, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Clariant Catalysts, commented on the topic: "Performance is a key differentiator in our new PolyMax 600 Series catalysts. As a new and proprietary technology that increases catalyst activity by up to 25% compared to phthalate-based catalysts, usage performance improves. This new technology not only provides higher plant efficiency, but also delivers superior polymer properties to its customers, such as further enhanced impact resistance. The PolyMax 600 Series catalysts offer an alternative to replace phthalate-based polyolefin catalysts. The PolyMax 600 Series catalysts are also engineered to accommodate a wide range of processing requirements across diverse applications, from food packaging to specialty automotive component production. Given the rapid growth of the polypropylene market, the catalysts help producers both meet increasing demand and comply with stricter regulations.
