Chemetall Receives Best Performer Award from Airbus

BASF Coatings' surface treatment global business unit, operating under the Chemetall brand, has received the Best Performance Award from Airbus. The award recognized outstanding industrial performance and significant contributions to the partnership with Airbus. Chemetall supplies Airbus with high-quality products meeting the strict requirements of the international aerospace industry. The award was presented at the Airbus Supplier Conference Awards held in Tianjin, China. Hendrik Becker, Chemetall Global Aerospace and Defense Director, said, "The Airbus Best Performance Award represents another milestone in our long-standing successful partnership with Airbus," and continued, "This prestigious award, along with Airbus' confidence that Chemetall is part of BASF Coatings and will become an even stronger partner in the future, is a clear sign of the trust placed in us. We hope to support Airbus' growth strategy now and in the future." This year's awards ceremony recognized eight suppliers across three categories: Industrial Performance, Innovation, and Customer Support. The selection is based on the supplier's ability to demonstrate innovative and pragmatic solutions that exceed customer expectations, as well as the capability to deliver the highest level of quality in terms of time and cost. Dr. Martin Jung, Senior Vice President Surface Treatment, said, "We are proud of our long-term partnership with Airbus and pleased with the Airbus Best Performance Award. Over the past 25 years, Chemetall and Airbus have built a long-term and successful business relationship. From its production facilities in Langelsheim, Germany and Soissons, France, Chemetall supplies numerous Airbus sites with aircraft sealants, corrosion protection products, cleaners and pre-treatment technologies. In February 2017, Chemetall received the highest award as an Accredited Supplier in Airbus' "Materials and Parts SQIP" program for the third time.
