The Cement Industry Employers' Union (ÇEİS), which continues its work on human resources development, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, leadership and occupational health and safety in the cement sector, announced the results of its training activities in the first half of 2026.
Through 35 training programs conducted under ÇEİS Campus and the Cement Sector Occupational Health and Safety Training Center (ÇİSİEM), 1,019 participants were reached, while the total training volume amounted to 6,852 person-hours. The overall satisfaction rate of the training programs was 92%.
ÇEİS focused on different topics such as leadership development, artificial intelligence and digital competencies, occupational health and safety, junior engineer development and safety coaching in training programs aimed at developing the competencies needed during the cement sector's digital transformation process.
Comprehensive program for leadership development
Within ÇEİS Campus, the 3D Leadership Journey program, implemented in collaboration with Sabancı University's Executive Development Unit, aimed to develop the leadership competencies of managers working in the cement sector.
In the program, which lasted a total of 14 days and consisted of three modules, participants had the opportunity to discover their own leadership approaches, develop team management skills and broaden their organizational perspectives.
By transferring the knowledge and experience gained through the program to the institutions where participants work, the aim was to promote a strong and sustainable leadership culture in the cement sector.
Artificial intelligence and digital transformation focus in the cement sector
Artificial intelligence and digital transformation were also important topics in ÇEİS's 2026 training programs.
The Artificial Intelligence Webinar Series held in February reached a total of 300 participants in five sessions. The program covered artificial intelligence literacy, the use of artificial intelligence tools in business processes, prompt engineering and artificial intelligence applications tailored to different departments.
The training series aimed not only to provide employees with technical knowledge, but also to develop a perspective that would enable them to integrate artificial intelligence into business processes. Content prepared for different functions contributed to spreading digital transformation across organizations.
Occupational health and safety training for junior engineers
The JEST (Junior Engineer Safety Training) Program carried out by ÇİSİEM focused on developing occupational health and safety awareness among junior engineers working in the cement sector.
Prepared for engineers with 0-4 years of experience, the program has so far completed four group trainings. Consisting of theoretical and practical training, the program supports junior engineers in advancing their professional development together with a strong occupational health and safety culture.
Coaching approach stands out in safety culture
The ICF Accredited Safety Coaching Program implemented in June within the scope of ÇEİS's training programs was also one of the important initiatives for strengthening safety culture.
In the in-person program organized in collaboration with the Labor and Social Security Education and Research Center, 10 participants from different levels participated.
The training covered effective communication, active listening, powerful questioning techniques and behavior-based safety approaches. Theoretical information was supported by practical exercises and case analyses, while the aim was to develop coaching skills for participants to promote occupational health and safety culture.
Multi-layered training model in the cement sector
The training activities conducted by ÇEİS present a multi-layered development model covering employees with different positions, experience and needs.
Programs ranging from leadership development to artificial intelligence, from digital transformation to junior engineer training and from occupational health and safety to safety coaching support the development of competencies in the cement sector and strengthening of a shared learning culture.
The 1,019 participants reached and 6,852 person-hours of training volume achieved in the first half of 2026 demonstrate the scope of ÇEİS's human resources and competency development initiatives for the sector's future.
