Şişecam Is the Only Company to Win an Award in the Glass Production Category

Şişecam has been awarded a bronze prize in the 'Glass Manufacturing' category at the ARC, organized by MerComm for the 35th time this year and known as the "Oscar of Annual Reports." Şişecam, a global player in all major glass sectors including flat glass, household glassware, glass packaging and glass fiber, as well as in soda and chromium compounds businesses, was the only company to win an award in the 'Glass Manufacturing' category in the competition where annual reports from 1,875 companies from 27 countries were evaluated based on its 2020 Annual Report. This year, 87 companies from Turkey participated in the ARC, an international reporting competition. Having been the recipient of a "Silver" award in the traditional annual report category last year and a "Bronze" award in the cover and design category conceived under the "Flawless Compliance Perfect Operations" concept, Şişecam continued its success this year as the only award-winning company in the glass sector. The ARC Awards, which have found their recipients since 1987 and are based in the United States, today hold the distinction of being the only annual report competition with no affiliation to any publication or trade organization in the world. The competition, which welcomes applications from a broad participant profile ranging from large organizations to medium-sized companies, state institutions to NGOs and annual report agencies, is held with the aim of rewarding companies that prepare their annual reports with creativity and innovation and promoting their work internationally.
