Buğra Kavuncu, who has held various positions at BASF since 2006, was appointed to his new role as Chief Executive Officer of BASF Turkish Chemical as of January 2016.
Between 1997 and 2006, Kavuncu grew USTA LLP, a firm in which he was a partner and manager, through investments in construction chemicals in Central Asia. He worked as General Manager at BASF Construction Chemicals Central Asia LLP between 2006 and 2008, and at BASF Central Asia between 2008 and 2010.
Following his assignment as BASF Construction Chemicals CIS Market Manager in Switzerland between 2010 and 2012, he served as CIS Market Manager between 2012 and 2014, while continuing his work as General Manager of BASF Construction Chemicals Turkey.
After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Economics in 1997, he began his career in the construction chemicals field in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Buğra Kavuncu has carried out successful work with his experience in sales, marketing and investment, and is fluent in Russian, English and Kazakh. Kavuncu is married and has 3 children.
