Paint and Science to Meet in Istanbul

The 9th International paintistanbul & Turkcoat Congress and Exhibition, a meeting point for paints and paint raw materials manufacturers as well as academics, will be held at Green Park Hotel Pendik between 5-6 December 2023.

The paints sector plays an important role in the context of sustainability due to its potential environmental impacts. As the sector continues to develop, the adoption of sustainable practices is considered certain to become a key factor in long-term success. Organized by BOSAD under the auspices of Chem Media, the 9th International paintistanbul&Turkcoat Congress aims to shape the future of the sector through topics including innovation, sustainability, functionality, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. In 2023, the paintistanbul&Turkcoat Congress and Exhibition, combined with an exhibition area concept to reach more industry professionals and bringing together all sector stakeholders, will enrich university-industry cooperation and enable the sharing of new trends, technologies and developments. The congress held within the scope of the paintistanbul&Turkcoat Fair and Congress Event since its inception was successfully organized for the first time in 2021 independently of the fair and online under pandemic conditions. Over the years, the paintistanbul&Turkcoat Congress and Exhibition, which has become an international platform where all academic and technical work related to paint technologies is presented and discussed, will be organized every two years going forward.

Congress Programme That Brings Colour to the Paints Sector

The congress programme, which will take place in two different halls over two days, will begin with a presentation by Mustafa Tunçgenç, one of the sector's senior figures, titled "History and Present of the Turkish Paint Industry". At the congress, where the fundamental properties of paints, sustainability, new raw materials and digitalization will be discussed in detail; there will be 5 invited speakers, including World Coatings Council President Tom Bowtell, 32 oral presentations and over 40 poster presentations. Additionally, at the panel titled "Sustainable Innovative Approaches in the Paints Sector" to be held on the second day of the event, issues regarding the future of the paints sector will be evaluated from all angles.
