paintistanbul & Turkcoat Fair is an organization that brings together participants serving all relevant areas of the sector, including paints, paint raw materials, laboratory and production equipment, with visitors from around the world, and aims to move forward in each period. We can describe our fair particularly as the gateway for Turkish paint companies and all related industries to the world.Could you provide information about fair participants and visitors? How many participants do you have from domestic and international sources?
At our fair, where all booth areas are sold months in advance and which receives intense interest, this year we will host a total of 343 participating companies and company representatives, including 219 foreign and 124 domestic participants from 24 different countries. Together with well-known names from Turkey such as DYO, Polisan Kansai, Akçalı Boya, Yalaz Boya, and Kayalar Kimya, major chemical industry players from both domestic and international sources will also participate in our fair. What are the main regions/countries from which you receive visitors?
Our visitors primarily come from the Balkans, Russia, Turkic Republics, Middle East and North Africa countries. You are undertaking intensive preparations for the fair. Could you tell us about this preparation process?
In addition to cooperation and preparations we are conducting domestically, the fair is being promoted in Russia, Germany, the Balkans and Iran, as well as in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, and at leading international fairs in the paints, paint raw materials and construction sectors. Along with these, we are establishing cooperation with umbrella organizations such as TKSD, İMSAD and KÜB, as well as with commercial attachés of foreign countries, and we are continuing our work across our entire service range without slowing down. What innovations await participants and visitors at the fair this year?
The fair contains many innovations in this period. First and foremost, the virtual fair platform, which began in the previous period and will continue strengthened this year, will open simultaneously with the physical fair and will remain accessible for three months. The virtual fair platform aims to provide companies with long-term communication opportunities and high brand visibility, while offering visitors the ability to view information about companies and conduct online meetings without time constraints. In addition, technical and commercial conferences organized by sector experts in the fair area will be broadcast live and simultaneously on our YouTube channel, thus reaching thousands of sector professionals. Furthermore, this year, for the first time, we have made an agreement with our flagship airline, Turkish Airlines, to define discount codes that our international participants and visitors coming to the fair can use for all their journeys to Istanbul. As Artkim Group, at the fairs you organize, you pay particular attention to including expert speakers in the conference program. Could you share the conference program of paintistanbul & Turkcoat Fair with us?
In this year's conference program of our fair, we have been careful to host speakers whose presentations will attract the interest of our participants and visitors and whose views will contribute to the development of the sector. Our conference program will open with a presentation by Tom Bowtel, President of World Coatings Council, and will continue with panels titled Turkey Paints Sector and Exports, hosted by BOSAD, the umbrella organization of the Turkish paints industry, with the most competent professionals as panelists. In addition to these, presentations by various participating companies and attachés, as well as commercial and technical topics, will enrich our program. Why should participants and visitors choose paintistanbul & Turkcoat Fair? What sets you apart from other organizations?
The Turkish paints sector is increasing its strength with its volume approaching 1 billion tonnes and its share in the global paints market. The most important difference we offer to our participants and visitors who contribute to this momentum is our ability to bring visitors from many countries of the world together with our participants in a way that supports exports through the commercial volume created at our fair. We support this goal by being at the intersection of many sectors, offering a wide range from paint raw materials to building chemicals and industrial paints through our manufacturing companies. I believe that bringing visitors together with an organization of this scale, creating a platform that can meet all kinds of needs, is highly beneficial for sector stakeholders. How does the fair provide added value to the sector in general?
Fairs contribute significantly both to the marketing power of participating companies and to the movement of exports and the local market. paintistanbul & Turkcoat Fair is a project that has proven its strength in the international arena and embraces all global markets. Through the interaction it creates, we are able to bring visitors seeking innovative and more innovative products together with participants. We can also see the impact of the demand and expectations created on production processes and exports. We believe that our project, which increases the scale of interaction with each passing year, creates serious added value both in the sector and in the country's economy. Finally, what are your targets for this year?
Our goal is to hold an organization that supports Turkey's transformation into a research and development and technology center in the paints sector and demonstrates its strength and recognition once again in the international market.
