Borusan Holding Signs On to New Project Borusan Holding, which carries out sustainability work under the headings of climate, people and innovation, has signed on to a new project on gender equality, which is central to its people-focused approach. Borusan has compiled the experience gained over 10 years dedicated to equality in a book titled 10 Years Dedicated to Equality, featuring the inspiring stories of 18 individuals who have participated in equality-focused projects alongside employees of the Holding and Group companies. Borusan Holding, which has undertaken inclusive work under its sustainability focus areas of climate, people and innovation, continues its projects in the field of gender equality with a people-focused approach. Having launched its first equality-focused project 10 years ago, Borusan compiled the experience and practices gained in 10 years dedicated to equality in a book titled 10 Years Dedicated to Equality. The book addresses Borusan's work on gender equality and the inspiring stories of people whose lives have been touched, while presenting equality-focused work chronologically. In the book written by Lecturer Esen Özdemir, interviews were conducted with 18 individuals from Borusan Holding and Group company employees as well as those involved in equality-focused projects. These interviews resulted in enlightening stories, while Borusan's 10-year journey was immortalized.

Stories that convey the equality approach

The book, which addresses the values of the Borusan Equals Platform established with the belief that gender equality at Borusan must be adopted and internalized at both corporate and individual levels, features stories emphasizing equal opportunity in recruitment, training and development processes, and equal treatment in career, remuneration and performance management. Borusan Group CEO Erkan Kafadar, expressing satisfaction at bringing together 10 years dedicated to equality in such a valuable book, made the following remarks: "Gender equality is a target that becomes increasingly difficult to reach with each passing day, yet it is essential for a livable future. To close the gap in this area, we must make great efforts, work persistently and inspire through benefit-focused projects. As Borusan, we aimed to crown our 10 years dedicated to equality, our achievements and the path we have travelled with a book, to guide everyone who wishes to take steps in this field," he said.   Borusan Holding Human, Communication and Sustainability Group Head Nursel Ölmez Ateş noted that Borusan has implemented various projects on gender equality over the past 10 years, adding, "While immortalizing the stories of those who have walked this path with us and whose lives we have touched in our book 10 Years Dedicated to Equality, we have also provided important motivation. I thank all Borusanlıs who have contributed to equality and to a more livable world," she said.
