Science Will Win with the Youth Project's First Event

First Event from the "Science Will Win with Young People" Project The joint project of the Science Heroes Association and biopharmaceutical company Pfizer Turkey, operating with the understanding that science will win, Science Will Win with Young People, held its first in-person science event in August following online workshops. Following online workshops where high school students aged 14-18 had gathered with scientists, the events took place in person for the first time on 7 August at Yeditepe University Technology Hub, led by Scientist Dilek Turan, under the title "Learning about Clean Rooms and Systems at the Good Manufacturing Practice Center." Additionally, the Yeditepe University Cell and Gene Therapy Center of Excellence Laboratory opened its doors for the first time to participants of the Science Will Win with Young People Project. Within the scope of this science event, high school students had the opportunity to tour the laboratory, learn about good manufacturing requirements, explore clean rooms, and observe the production process of cellular products in a simulation environment. At the end of the science event, which was completely free, all participants were given digital certificates. Yeditepe University Doctoral Candidate Dilek Turan shared the following about the event: "Meeting young people at an in-person organization after a long time was very exciting for me. Although the center's opening has not yet taken place, opening it for a special visit for young people and being able to explain to them what a clean room and good manufacturing center mean from its establishment was a great opportunity, and we found the chance to do this within the scope of the Science Will Win with Young People project. We had a science organization with the character of a technical tour and discussed what has been done in our country and what more could be done. We spent a very enjoyable Sunday together. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the organization." he said.
