My Home GEBKİM Campaign GEBKİM, Turkey's first specialty chemical organized industrial zone, contributes significantly to the country's economy while also standing out through projects that provide social benefit. The exemplary industrial zone located in Dilovası, Kocaeli, draws attention as a happy home full of care and affection for street animals. The "My Home GEBKİM" campaign, which GEBKİM OSB prepared for World Street Animals Day on 4 April, continues to garner awards. The campaign, which warmed everyone's hearts with a video telling the story of our four-legged friends living in GEBKİM, won the Success Award in the Reputation Category at the Felis Awards 2022. The "My Home GEBKİM" campaign had previously been the recipient of two bronze awards at this year's Brandverse Awards. GEBKİM OSB, which provides all necessary facilities for the shelter, nutrition and health of street animals, drew attention with the "My Home GEBKİM" campaign specially prepared for World Street Animals Day on 4 April to raise awareness that our four-legged friends, like all living beings, need care and affection. The video prepared for the campaign quickly went viral and captured hearts. The much-loved campaign, which did not stop at awards this year, following the 2 bronze awards it won at the Brandverse Awards, was recognized with the Reputation Management Success Award at the Felis Awards 2022. The 17th edition of the Felis Awards 2022 is organized to emphasize the importance of effective creativity in the advertising and marketing industry and to reward the achievements of all teams contributing to the creative world.

Breaking sharing records

The "My Home GEBKİM" campaign was launched to reflect to the public the natural, sustainable and exemplary living space created within GEBKİM, countering recent violence and mistreatment of street animals, and to demonstrate the importance of care and affection. Within the scope of the campaign, which aims to serve as an example to everyone, a video was prepared depicting a day in the life of the charming dog 'Şila', who has become one of GEBKİM's symbols, representing over 100 street animals living in GEBKİM. In the prepared video, Şila's daily routine was documented, attempting to reflect her feelings toward people through her voice and eyes. At the end of the video, Şila's message "Leave at least a bowl of food and water for those not as lucky as us" conveyed to everyone the message "You have things you can do too." The video, which received great interest, broke sharing records. GEBKİM Chemical Specialty OSB Board Chairman Vefa İbrahim Aracı stated that the exemplary ecosystem they have created with GEBKİM contributes to the country's economy, exports and employment, while also having a structure that provides benefits to society in many areas ranging from education to health, environmental protection to street animals. Expressing their happiness that the "My Home GEBKİM" campaign has been greatly loved by people and found worthy of many awards, Vefa İbrahim Aracı said: "For approximately 10 years, we have been taking care of our four-legged friends under 16 feeding points and 52 shelters within our industrial zone. In the last one and a half years, we have provided 451 veterinary services for our friends. Our industrial zone enables street animals to live their lives with care and affection beyond just feeding and care. We are regretfully witnessing negative perceptions and mistreatment of street animals in recent times. Yet there are things all of us can do. It is enough that we notice them, treat them with love, and remember that they carry a life and every living being has the right to live. We hope that GEBKİM will serve as an example in this regard to other organized industrial zones, municipalities and civil society organizations in our country," he said.
