Highlighting the fair's strong demand, BeautyEurasia Fair Director Filiz Mehmedova stated: "Over 18 years, Turkey's most important cosmetics fair BeautyEurasia has contributed to the sector's development and the economy by hosting 19,799 visitors from 128 countries most recently. BeautyEurasia, which opens doors to new export opportunities, is facing particularly strong demand and interest from abroad this year."Mehmedova, noting that cosmetics exports have shown increases across all product groups, particularly cleaning and hygiene products, made the following remarks:
"In the first nine months of 2023, cosmetics exports increased by 21.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached USD 2.1 billion. Cosmetics exports showed increases across all product groups in the first nine months. Cleaning and hygiene products, the highest export category, increased by 15.6 percent in the first half, reaching USD 734.8 million, while baby hygiene products exports increased by 22.6 percent to USD 598.3 million. Hair care product exports rose by 17.2 percent, personal care product exports by 46.3 percent and perfume and deodorant exports by 37.8 percent. During the first nine months of 2023, we experienced an increase in demand and exports across product groups. As Turkey stands out as an important production country in cosmetics, additional supply demand remains high. In the first nine months of 2023, the cosmetics sector achieved export growth higher than Turkey's overall average and above many other sectors. With the momentum gained by cosmetics exports in the third quarter, we can see that BeautyEurasia, with its strong regional network, will continue to create new business, partnership and export opportunities for Turkey this year."Advertisement
