Bayer Employees Continue to Serve as Volunteer Science Ambassadors

Bayer employees are volunteering to support the Bayer Young Science Ambassadors project, which is carried out in collaboration with Bayer and the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG) to foster interest in science among primary school-age children.

To participate as a volunteer ambassador in the project, employees attend scientific literacy training. The training provided by TOG includes panels on the concept of volunteering and communication with children, while experiments related to the project are also conducted.

This year's Bayer Volunteer Team, having completed scientific literacy training, made its first visit to Ümraniye Şehit Sevgi Yeşilyurt Primary School. Volunteer Bayer employees aim to explore the entertaining world of science with approximately 400 children until the end of the 2018-2019 academic year.

The Bayer Young Science Ambassadors Project, which has reached over 36,000 children to date, aims to meet 5,000 primary school-age children in 2019 and encourage them to pursue careers as scientists in the future.

The project will be implemented this year in primary schools designated by the Provincial and District National Education Directorates of Ankara, Bingöl, Bolu, Bursa, Gaziantep, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş and Niğde.
