Bayer Meets Over 1,000 Growers in Hatay at Agro Arena Corn Event

The Agro Arena Corn event, organized by Bayer Crop Science, was held in Hatay on 12-13 August with the participation of more than 1,000 corn growers. The event brought together DEKALB corn varieties, Bayer's plant protection solutions, digital agriculture applications and the new-generation Preceon Smart Corn System with growers.

The Agro Arena Corn event organized by the Bayer Crop Science team took place on 12-13 August in Hatay. The event, held in Hatay, one of Turkey's important corn production regions, was attended by over 1,000 producers.
During the two-day event, producers received information about Bayer solutions that support productivity and sustainability in corn cultivation. DEKALB grain and silage corn varieties as well as crop protection products, digital farming technologies and solutions for correct practices in corn production were presented under field conditions.
Key topics at the event included the Preceon Smart Corn System, the Replanting Program and the DEKALB Yield Line. Producers had the opportunity to examine the applications of the Bayer-DEKALB corn solution package in the field and closely observe the contributions of different solutions to production processes.
Digital farming technologies support production decisions
One of the solutions producers experienced at the event was the FieldView digital farming platform. FieldView, which enables fields to be monitored throughout the season through satellite imagery, weather forecasts, water use maps and smart notifications, analyzes field data to support producers' decision-making processes.
The platform's field-specific planting recipe feature contributes to optimizing planting plans in line with field data. Thus the goal is for producers to adopt a more data-driven production approach aimed at increasing the yield they can obtain from each unit area.

Preceon Smart Corn System introduced to producers
At the Agro Arena Corn event, comprehensive information was also provided about the Preceon Smart Corn System, which aims to support yield, quality and resilience in corn production.
Based on next-generation short-stature corn hybrids, the system enables high planting density while contributing to reduced lodging risk from wind and rainfall and associated grain loss.
The stay-green characteristic of Preceon hybrids supports quality, particularly in silage corn production. Through this characteristic, it is aimed to contribute to high-quality silage production, and thus to feed yield and quality.
Through the integration of the Preceon Smart Corn System with FieldView digital farming applications, optimization of planting density and plant positioning planning is supported. The system thus offers a holistic approach based not only on seed technology but also on improving production decisions by utilizing field data.
Technical support at every stage of production with the DEKALB Yield Line
As part of the event, producers were also introduced to the DEKALB Yield Line. Under the service provided by an expert team of agronomists, producers can receive free technical information support at different stages of corn cultivation.
Producers across Turkey can obtain information through the DEKALB Yield Line at 444 94 49 on topics such as soil preparation, variety selection, planting time and density, irrigation and fertilization, disease and pest control and harvesting.
Information on weather, corn commodity prices and agricultural subsidy support can also be obtained through the line.
"We stand beside our producers"
Harun Kendir, Marketing Manager of the Corn Product Group at Bayer Crop Science, noted in his evaluation of the Agro Arena Corn event that sustainable and productive farming must be supported with the right product, right time and right practices as well as innovative technologies.
Kendir stated, "We were delighted to come together with over 1,000 of our producers at our Agro Arena Corn event held in Hatay and to share our innovative corn solution package, our digital farming applications and our high-yield portfolio in the field. With our Replanting Program, we also support our producers against the risks that adverse climate and field conditions may create. As Bayer, we stand beside our producers at every stage of corn cultivation and provide end-to-end solutions that will contribute to them evaluating the potential in the field in the best way and obtaining higher yields per unit area," he said.
Bayer Crop Science will continue to bring innovative and holistic solutions for different stages of the corn production process from seed to harvest to producers and continue information sharing in the field through Agro Arena events.
