Axalta Signs Agreement to Build New, Modern Facility in the Netherlands

Axalta has signed a contract to build a new, modern facility to expand its automotive refinish business in the Netherlands. Upon completion of construction, Axalta's globally recognized Dutch refinish paint brands Cromax, Spies Hecker, Standox, and Syrox will relocate to the new facility at Business Park Medel in Tiel. The facility will also house Metalak BV. Axalta's property at Business Park Medel covers an area of 12,000 m² and will comprise a facility of 7,250 m² upon completion. The facility will include a three-story office section, a warehouse, a new Axalta Training Center, and a separate mixing room that will serve as part of Axalta's direct distribution point, supporting both high-volume customers and local color development processes. Bas van de Ven, Plant Manager of Axalta's automotive refinish business in the Netherlands, commented: "We are always looking for ways to enhance the level of support we provide to our customers, and today we are looking toward the future by building a modern facility. The new training center will meet the future needs of the market, while new offices and a sophisticated automated warehouse will take our daily operations to a new level and help us attract and retain top talent."
