Sipchem and Resinex Agree on Marketing Deal for PBT
Saudi Arabian company Sipchem (Saudi International Petrochemical Company) and RESINEX, a European plastics and rubber distributor, have reached an agreement on the joint launch and marketing of Sipchem's virgin PBT resin in Europe.

Saudi Arabian company Sipchem (Saudi International Petrochemical Company) and European plastics and rubber distributor RESINEX have reached an agreement on joint launch and marketing of Sipchem pure PBT resin in Europe. The product portfolio includes MFR values (250°C/1.6 kg) ranging between 11 and 200 g/10 minutes, with high-viscosity and super EasyFlow grades.
RESINEX, which has progressively added the new Sipchem PBT grades to its portfolio, targets compounders, monofilament and fiber producers. The distributor thereby strengthens its product portfolio in the segment and can offer customers new options.
Sipchem manufactures PBT products at its new facility in Al-Jubail (Saudi Arabia) with annual production capacity of 63,000 tonnes. Through Uhde Inventa-Fischer processes, Sipchem can extract 1,4-butanediol feedstock from its own production.
