Antalya Organized Industrial Zone Presents R&D and Innovation Project Awards
The Antalya Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) Management awarded prizes to winning projects at the Antalya OSB R&D and Innovation Project Market 2022 event, which was organized by the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone Management.
The Antalya OSB R&D and Innovation Project Market 2022 event, which aimed to increase added value in production, introduce new technologies and methods to industry, promote R&D and innovation culture, strengthen university-industry cooperation, initiate new partnerships in R&D and innovation efforts, and provide a platform where new ideas can be presented and implemented, awarded winning projects. At the awards ceremony held at the OSB Regional Management, 9 projects out of 180 that participated in 3 separate categories received awards.
At the ceremony, OSB Board of Directors Chairman Ali Bahar said that 7 months of meticulous work bore fruit today. Noting that the event was merely a small spark to support Turkey's image of strength and greatness with science and technology, Bahar stated: "The hearts that own the fire burning within are these hearts. These hearts will beat for our country. We will act ceaselessly as a matter of honor and dignity to carry our country into the future and make Turkey strong."
"We manage resources like a boomerang"
Recalling his previous statement that 'we manage money like a boomerang,' Ali Bahar conveyed that they created such an operation for the continuity of projects and financing. Bahar said: "Today I see that we also manage resources like a boomerang. I think the real work is on this side. We take pride in our young population. But if we don't make our young population do R&D and innovation, if we don't transform them with science and technology, if we make them do unqualified work, we will waste and lose this young population."Call to manufacturers and investors
Memiş Kütükçü, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Organized Industrial Zones (OSBÜK), noting that Ali Bahar has authored exemplary projects for Turkey, said that competition based on price globally is rapidly being replaced by competition focused on R&D and innovation-driven productivity. Kütükçü stated: "The world's most valuable companies have become companies focused on R&D and innovation, prioritizing digitalization, and operating in technology and information technology. Now knowledge is the most important raw material of the economy. This knowledge and the collaborative environment were displayed here at the R&D and Innovation Project Market. From agriculture to chemicals, from energy to electrical and electronics, from artificial intelligence to pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, 180 R&D and innovation-based projects are being showcased right next to us. Capital and production capabilities are also represented in the OSB. What remains is to capitalize on this opportunity. This work is actually a major opportunity for all parties. I call upon all our manufacturers and investors to make good use of this opportunity, bring these projects into the economy, and commercialize them."Award recipients
