Alışan Enters Solar Energy Era

Alışan Lojistik, which released its Second Sustainability Report recently, has begun meeting a significant portion of its annual energy needs through clean and renewable sources with a solar power plant installed at its warehouse operating over a total area of 17,992 square meters in Konya Organized Industrial Zone, as part of its environmental responsibility approach.

Leading the sector with environment-friendly investments, Alışan Lojistik pioneered an important transformation in energy management with its Solar Energy Plant (GES), which became operational in the second half of 2024. The plant, which generated 409,056 kWh during June–December 2024 and 361,088 kWh during January–June 2025, played a significant role in total electricity consumption. This enabled the company to meet a substantial portion of its total energy needs from nature-friendly sources without external dependence. During the June 2024–June 2025 period, a total of 770,144 kWh of clean energy was generated, total electricity consumption reached 1,251,416.94 kWh, and the amount of electricity drawn from the grid decreased by approximately 62 percent.

Sustainable Growth Through Renewable Energy Investments
Alışan Lojistik's Solar Energy Plant (GES) investment not only reduced electricity consumption but also provided concrete contributions to environmental and economic sustainability. Thanks to the plant, approximately 340 tons of CO₂ equivalent carbon emissions were prevented, while significant reductions in energy costs were achieved. This enabled the company to document its progress toward the sustainability targets mentioned in its newly released second sustainability report.

Sustainability as a Necessity in the Logistics Sector
Alışan Lojistik CEO Damla Alışan, emphasizing the importance of the investment's contribution to the company's sustainability targets and operational efficiency, stated: "In the logistics sector, sustainability is no longer an option but a necessity. With the solar energy plant we have built, we are both protecting the environment and investing in the future. As you know, we have a target to reduce our carbon emissions by 50 percent by 2030. Our goal is to contribute to our country's energy transition and produce more sustainable solutions for our customers." Alışan noted that with this investment, they aim not only to contribute to environmental sustainability but also to offer "green logistics" solutions to their customers, adding: "The efficiency in energy costs will create sustainable cost advantages in our services, while also adding value for our customers who want to reduce their carbon footprint."
