AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings, a producer of high-performance aerospace coating solutions for aircraft worldwide, is preparing to launch a new color blending and distribution facility in Dubai. The strategic location of the new facility will enable AkzoNobel to provide stronger support to commercial aviation operators, MROs, OEMs and industry partners in the region with customer-specific on-site blended and stocked coating solutions.
The facility, which will serve as a regional hub for the Middle East, is planned to become operational in the second quarter of 2026. From Dubai, AkzoNobel will offer local blending of Aerobase, Aerodur 3001 and Eclipse colors, while also providing fast and easy access to stocked primers, topcoats and thinners.
The color blending processes conducted at the facility will be supported by automation and precision control systems to ensure repeatable and reliable color accuracy in line with standards applied across AkzoNobel's global network.
Xavier Rijmenans, Sales Director EMEA at AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings, noted that the new facility reinforces the company's long-term commitment to the region, stating: "We are working in close partnership with strong business partners in the Middle East who rely on our trusted solutions. By expanding our color blending and distribution capabilities, we are not only reducing delivery times but also strengthening our regional support. This helps our customers scale their operations and respond more quickly to growing demand in the region. Thanks to this model, which has proven successful in Asia, Europe and North America, our customers in the region will gain improved access to locally blended, high-quality coating solutions."
