Aksa Enerji Reports TRY 5.9 Billion EBITDA in First Half of the Year

Türkiye's largest publicly traded independent power producer, Aksa Enerji, continued to grow in the first half of 2025 through simultaneous investments at home and abroad and its strong financing capacity. During this period, the Company recorded a 39% increase in EBITDA and posted a total net profit of TRY 1.4 billion.

Turkey's largest publicly traded independent power producer Aksa Enerji continued its growth in the first half of 2025 through simultaneous investments conducted domestically and internationally, backed by robust financing capabilities. During this period, the Company recorded 39% growth in EBITDA while achieving a net profit of TRY 1.4 billion.

Key developments in the first half of the year included Aksa Enerji reaching the status of the country's largest Turkish investor following the full operational commissioning of the Talimercan Power Plant in Uzbekistan, a USD 150 million financing arrangement from Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), Africa's leading development finance institution, and a USD 80 million credit agreement secured from TSKB for renewable energy projects.

Operating 11 power plants across 7 countries with installed capacity exceeding 3,000 MW, Aksa Enerji maintained strong operational and financial performance in the first half of 2025. During this period, the Company's consolidated EBITDA reached TRY 5.9 billion, while EBITDA margin increased by 4 points to 29% compared to the same period of the previous year. Distinguished in the sector through its global investments and renewable energy projects in Turkey, Aksa Enerji raised its net profit to TRY 1.4 billion in the first six months.

Stating that the first half of 2025 was a period marked by significant achievements in international investments and strategic partnerships for Aksa Enerji, Board Chairman and CEO Cemil Kazancı said: "We are advancing with confidence toward our Sustainable High Growth target in line with our 2030 Global Strategy. In this direction, we demonstrated strong financial performance in the second quarter of the year with increased production in Africa, elevated EBITDA margin supported by the completion of the dual-fuel conversion at our Ghana Power Plant, and the full commissioning of our Talimercan Power Plant in Uzbekistan at full capacity.

It was a period where we made a difference not only through financial results but also through our strategic steps. The USD 150 million financing we secured from AFC in Africa is an indication of our strong commitment to sustainable development and energy transition in the region. On the other hand, with the USD 80 million credit agreement we signed with TSKB, we are bringing three strategic projects to life that will contribute to our country's energy transition. With our approach based on energy supply security, we will continue with determination to develop sustainable and exemplary projects in every geography where we operate," he said.

Strong Leadership in Uzbekistan with Talimercan Power Plant
Aksa Enerji commissioned the 430 MW capacity Talimercan Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant in Uzbekistan at full capacity in July. Following the previously commissioned Tashkent A, B and Bukhara power plants, the Talimercan Power Plant provides significant support to Uzbekistan's energy needs while raising the Company's energy generation capacity in the region to 1,220 MW.
Through this project, Aksa Enerji has achieved the status of the country's largest Turkish investor while providing important contributions to the region's energy supply security and regional economic and social development.

Historic Partnership in Africa
Continuing its investments without slowing down with the goal of developing energy infrastructure in Africa, Aksa Enerji is preparing to provide strong support to energy projects on the continent through a USD 150 million financing agreement signed with Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). This agreement supports sustainable development and energy supply security in Africa while deepening strategic cooperation between Turkey and Africa.

Strong Support for Renewable Energy
Aksa Enerji signed a USD 80 million credit agreement with TSKB for renewable energy investments. These funds will be used for renewable energy power plant and standalone storage facility projects, supporting the Company's sustainability strategy while contributing to Turkey's energy capacity.

Under the agreement, 3 of the projects Aksa Enerji is carrying out in different regions of Turkey are financed through TSKB cooperation. With its pioneering efforts, Aksa Enerji, which obtained Turkey's first storage-enabled renewable energy generation license, aims to reach a total installed capacity of 891.41 MW through 13 different investments in 10 provinces in this field. This entire capacity consists of storage-enabled generation facilities.

Aksa Enerji Among Turkey's Leading Companies
Aksa Enerji ranked 38th in total assets, 37th in equity size, 39th in EBITDA size and 97th in sales revenue on the Fortune 500 Turkey 2025 list, once again proving its leadership in the energy sector and financial strength.
The Company continues its global position in energy with its sound financial structure and sustainable high-growth target in line with its 2030 Global Strategy.
