Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji has completed its investment in the Kocalar Wind Power Plant (RES) in Çanakkale by bringing the remaining 11.8 MW section into commercial operation. The plant's total installed capacity of 29.5 MW is now fully operational.

With this development, the company has successfully completed the first-phase wind energy capacity expansion investments according to the planned schedule.

102.2 MW Completed in First-Phase RES Investments
The initial sections of the Kocalar RES capacity expansion project, conducted by Isıder Enerji Üretim Pazarlama İthalat ve İhracat A.Ş., a 100% subsidiary of Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji, were brought into operation on 7 November and 5 December 2025. With the final phase completed as of 26 December 2025, the plant transitioned to full-capacity commercial operation.

With the completion of Kocalar RES, the company has fully realized its total 102.2 MW RES capacity expansion projects included in its investment program.

Total Installed Capacity Reaches 887 MW
As a result of the completed investments, Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji has reached a total installed capacity of 887 MW across the renewable energy plants it operates. The company continues to contribute to Turkey's energy transition with a balanced and entirely renewable production portfolio based on wind, solar and hydroelectric sources.

"We Successfully Completed Our Planned Investments"
Mustafa Kemal Güngör, General Director of Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji, made the following statement regarding the matter:

"2025 was a year in which Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji successfully completed its planned investments in full, and significantly increased our operational capacity and production capacity. Under our first-phase investment program, we successfully completed the 102.2 MW RES capacity expansion projects and 85.3 MW hybrid solar investments according to the planned schedule.

With the hybrid solar projects we brought into operation as of September, our production portfolio based on wind, solar and hydroelectric sources has become even stronger. While providing concrete contributions to Turkey's energy transition through these investments, we aim to continue our growth with new capacity expansions and technology-focused projects in the coming period while maintaining our investment discipline."
