Written Assessment from Adil Pelister on the Medium-Term Program
Adil Pelister, Chairman of the Board of İKMİB (İKMİB), has issued a written assessment regarding the Medium-Term Program announced today by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
In his assessment, Pelister stated the following;
"I wish that the Medium-Term Program announced today by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will be beneficial for our country and our business community. The MTP, which contains three-year macroeconomic policies covering 2024-2026, presents an important roadmap on predictability, which is the most important issue for us in the business world. We appreciate that an important step will be taken toward ensuring confidence and stability through policies to be implemented in 7 priority structural areas: growth and trade, human capital and employment, price stability and financial stability, public finance, disaster management, green and digital transformation, and the business and investment environment. Among the expectations of our exporters are improvement of the investment environment, narrowing of the inflation-exchange rate differential, achieving inflation-interest rate balance, and facilitating access to financing. We believe that these expectations will be met through the consistent implementation of the announced MTP. The chemical sector is an important sector providing substantial support to exports. Due to the contribution it makes to the other 27 sectors, the chemical sector should be viewed as the most important sector that needs support not only for exports but also for the development of existing domestic industry. For our country to develop, prosper and grow, the chemical sector must also develop and grow. For this, we need to increase scale and make new investments. In this regard, we have expectations for support and incentives for our sector. As the chemical sector, which is the driving force of exports that provide the greatest contribution to our country's development and economy, we will continue to work with all our strength to reach our targets and break new records in the centenary year of our Republic."Advertisement
