Abdi İbrahim and Bilim Virüsü's Discoverers of the Future Programme, now in its fifth year, continues to bring together high school students aged 15-18 from across Turkey with science, technology and biotechnology. Applications for the programme's first module will be accepted between 24 August and 6 September 2026.

Abdi İbrahim's Discoverers of the Future Programme, launched in cooperation with Bilim Virüsü, is entering its fifth year. The programme, which aims to develop young people's scientific thinking skills and introduce them to future technologies, offers free online education to high school students aged 15-18 across Turkey.

Over five years, the programme has enabled young people to participate in educational modules prepared in the fields of scientific thought, digital skills, technology and biotechnology. Workshop activities, practical training and biotechnology webinars will be complemented by Digital Content Workshops as part of the programme's content.

Some of the content created by young people within the programme will meet readers this year for the first time through the Discoverers of the Future Journal.

Programme consists of three main modules
The fifth cycle of the Discoverers of the Future Programme, prepared with inspiration from figures who have contributed to science and technology through discoveries throughout history, will progress through three main learning modules.

The Scientific Thinking Module will cover topics such as the world of science, inquiry and curiosity, creativity and imagination, and philosophy of science.

The Digital Skills and Technology Module will introduce young people to digital transformation, the new world, technology and innovation, data literacy, artificial intelligence and next-generation technologies.

The Journey of Biotechnology Module, the third pillar of the programme, will address topics including the world of biotechnology, bioethics, the future of biotechnology, social innovation in health, life technologies and the role of biotechnology in the development of civilisations.

At biotechnology webinars held at the end of each module, students will have the opportunity to meet with experts in the field and listen to their experiences and career journeys.

Applications for the first module start on 24 August
Applications for the Scientific Thinking Module, the programme's first training cycle, can be submitted between 24 August and 6 September 2026.

High school students wishing to become part of the Discoverers of the Future community can apply through a general application form to be opened before the programme. The application form can be accessed through Abdi İbrahim's website and the Instagram accounts of Abdi İbrahim and Bilim Virüsü.
