"Cesur Kulaçlar," the corporate social responsibility project launched by Abdi İbrahim Vakfı for children with Down syndrome, is starting swimming lessons with its fourth term, to be held between 7 March and 27 June 2026. The program aims to support children's physical, social and cognitive development.

Abdi İbrahim Vakfı's social responsibility project for children with Down syndrome, "Brave Wings," is launching its fourth term swimming programme to run from 7 March – 27 June 2026. The programme aims to support children's physical, social and cognitive development.

Every Wing in the Water, A Strengthened Future
The Brave Wings project, initiated in 2021, enables children with Down syndrome to establish a secure relationship with water while supporting their multifaceted development. Beyond swimming instruction, the programme builds children's confidence, strengthens social skills and develops their ability to move independently.

Concrete Results and Sustainable Model
Progress recorded in the previous three terms in areas such as children's physical endurance, coordination and social adaptation demonstrates that the project is a sustainable and effective model. Positive feedback from families supports the tangible impact of the programme on children.

Lasting Social Impact from Abdi İbrahim
Dr. M. Oğuzcan Bülbül, Board Chairman of Abdi İbrahim Vakfı, said: "Brave Wings is not merely about teaching swimming; it is a developmental journey that strengthens children's confidence, supports their independence and opens doors to their more active participation in life. As we begin our fourth term, we aim to enhance our project each year and reach more children."

Inclusive Sport Through Collaboration with Turkey Down Syndrome Association
Gün Bilgin, Board Chairman of Turkey Down Syndrome Association, emphasized the project's important role in children's physical strengthening and confidence building, stating: "Through Brave Wings, our children not only learn to swim; they experience a sense of achievement, take more active roles in social settings and take steps towards independence. This sustainable collaboration creates a strong foundation for our children with special needs to demonstrate their potential."
