At the event where Nezih Barut delivered the opening speech, panels discussed innovation and digital transformation topics as well as successful examples implemented in Turkey and around the world in this field. Nezih Barut emphasized that innovation and digital transformation is a priority agenda for Abdi İbrahim as it is for every institution with strong future targets, and stated: "In our Vision 2025 strategic roadmap for the next 5 years, we set ourselves the target of becoming the Improving Force of a Changing World. We said we will improve society with our products, the social value we create, our investments and our sustainability policy. On the other hand, we said we will improve our business. When we set a target, we have a culture that thinks ahead and works on the path that will take us to that target. In Vision 2025, we clearly defined how we will improve our business. We identified the widespread adoption of innovation and digital transformation as one of our goals to improve our business and capture the future today." he said."We Are Collaborating with Leading Global Organizations"
Noting that Abdi İbrahim was the first company in Turkey to open an accredited R&D center in the pharmaceutical sector, Barut stated: "Now we aim to be Turkey's innovation leader pharmaceutical company and we continue our work to realize this goal. We are collaborating with leading global organizations. We have adopted Stanford University's Design Thinking Method for our production processes in our facilities. Our collaboration with a US-based firm that runs a joint program with the University of California to prepare our innovation roadmap in detail demonstrates our difference." he said. This Method Makes It Possible to Continuously Improve Solutions
The "Design Thinking Method" that emerged at Stanford University is at the center of Abdi İbrahim's innovation strategy. Thanks to the "Design Thinking Method," businesses evaluate the target audience they serve with products or services from their perspective and focus on how to deliver the most value with the least resources. Through the method, there is no need to wait until the end of the project to implement the solution. In the method, the solution is tested and advanced in small steps. This makes it possible to continuously improve the solution or, if needed, abandon it without spending excessive resources. Saying that they need to develop new business models by looking from a wider perspective and that "Innovators are the creators of the future," Fisk emphasized that innovation is shifting from technology-focused to meeting customer needs and toward creativity for creating a better future. At this point, Fisk offered the following recommendations regarding three areas of struggle and development: "Seize the opportunity for change. Renew and develop not just your own business, but your market as well. Be curious, be creative, be courageous."Innovation Is Not Technological but More Related to Psychology in Organizations
