Call for Growing Solidarity on 8 March

As World Women's Day on 8 March approaches, the steps taken to ensure women can take part in economic and social life on an equal and empowered footing are gaining importance once again. The Foundation for the Support of Women's Work (KEDV) has been working for 40 years to help low-income women build resilience against poverty and gain a voice in local development.

As International Women's Day on 8 March approaches, steps taken to enable women to hold equal and strong positions in economic and social life gain significance once again. The Women's Labor Appreciation Foundation (KEDV), for 40 years, has been working to empower low-income women in their fight against poverty and to give them a say in local development.

KEDV, a non-profit civil society organization, implements programs in capacity building, cooperativization, economic empowerment, and disaster and migration areas. It aims to strengthen a social structure in which women are agents of change in their neighborhoods and cities.

In this context, 8 March offers a meaningful opportunity for those wishing to contribute to women's empowerment. KEDV, accordingly, offers two different options that convert solidarity into concrete support.

KEDV 8 March Certificates are an alternative solidarity example that individuals can purchase for themselves or their loved ones and that will contribute to women's empowerment against poverty. The certificates can be personalized; they can be prepared in English upon request. It offers a meaningful alternative that creates social benefit, particularly for corporate gifts.

Nahıl, KEDV's economic enterprise, enables women to obtain direct income by selling products from women's cooperatives supported by the foundation. Every product purchased from Nahıl contributes to women's labor gaining value and to the sustainability of women's cooperatives and women producers.

The choices made this 8 March are not merely a celebration; they create support for women's economic empowerment.

Every step taken through certificates and Nahıl products becomes a concrete contribution that strengthens women's solidarity.

Women's Labor Appreciation Foundation (KEDV)
KEDV, a non-profit civil society organization, has been working since 1986 to contribute to building a strong society free from poverty and inequality by supporting women's efforts to improve their lives and strengthening their leadership in local development. To this end, it runs programs in individual and collective capacity building, cooperativization, economic empowerment, and disaster and migration areas. With faith in low-income women's expertise in fighting poverty and their capacity to develop and transform their families and communities, KEDV works in cooperation with local administrations and other actors in society, implementing all its projects with a principled partnership approach and developing them through the synergy of women and their surroundings. www.kedv.org.tr
