2019 "TÜBA Awards" Ceremony Held

The 2019 TÜBA International Academy, Fuat Sezgin Awards, GEBİP and TESEP Awards found their recipients in a ceremony held under the patronage of the Presidency on 30 December 2019 at the Presidential Complex. The awards were presented by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The "TÜBA and TÜBİTAK Awards Ceremony" held at the Presidential Complex Beştepe National Congress and Cultural Center was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, YÖK President Prof. Dr. Yekta Saraç, members of parliament, YÖK members, TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, TÜBA members, university rectors, other protocol officials and academics, relatives of award recipients and guests. Following addresses by President Erdoğan, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker and TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, the 2019 TÜBA Awards were presented to their recipients.

Prof. Dr. Yaşar Salihpaşaoğlu's "Power Struggle Between Religion and State: The European Example", Dr. Esra Sazyek's "Ankara in Turkish Novels", Dr. Sühelya Yenidünya Gürgen's "The State's Steward, The Sultan's Master: Mehmed Said Hâlet Efendi", Prof. Dr. Kemalettin Kuzucu's "Creating a Hero: The Unionists' Remembrance of Alemdar Mustafa Paşa" and Prof. Dr. Yasemin Beyazıt's "Employment in the Ottoman Learned Profession (16th Century)". Furthermore, the 2019 TÜBİTAK Science Award in the field of basic sciences was received by TÜBA Regular Member Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gül, while the Science Award in the field of health sciences was received by Academy Regular Member Prof. Dr. Kazım Şahin.
