Senior Appointment at Humanis: Sertaç Barlas Named Commercial Operations General Manager

Sertaç Barlas, with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, has assumed the position of General Manager of Commercial Operations at Humanis. In his new role, Barlas will lead the company's commercial operations and sustainable growth objectives.

Humanis, one of the leading companies in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, has made an important appointment to strengthen its management team. Sertaç Barlas, who has extensive experience in sales, marketing, business unit management and commercial operations in the pharmaceutical sector, has become Humanis's new General Manager of Commercial Operations.

Starting his new role as of August 2026, Barlas will contribute to the management of Humanis's commercial operations as well as the company's sustainable growth strategies and innovative approach to healthcare.

Held various commercial and management responsibilities throughout his career
A graduate of Hacettepe University, Sertaç Barlas began his professional career in 2004 as a sales representative at AstraZeneca. He subsequently served as a sales representative and product manager at Solvay Pharmaceuticals.

At Abbott, where he joined in 2010, Barlas held various positions including regional manager, national sales manager, business unit manager and business unit director. Serving as Abbott Turkey General Manager in 2023, Barlas gained comprehensive experience throughout his career in various healthcare areas including central nervous system, cardiology, cardiometabolic diseases, gastroenterology, women's health, vaccines and acute care.

Joining Humanis's management team with his new role, Barlas will be responsible for developing the company's commercial operations, strengthening business processes and supporting sustainable growth objectives.

Humanis strengthens growth strategy
Humanis began operations in 2010 as Pharmactive within Saya Group and has continued its activities under the Humanis brand since 2023.
