In addition, protection against nail punctures is provided by using steel or composite insoles, especially in shoes used on construction sites. Composite materials are preferred because of their lightness, flexibility, and heat resistance. Static electricity fires are prevented by using antistatic additives in shoe materials. The upper consists of inner and outer linings. Employee health and comfort are protected through moisture permeability and water repellency, as well as antibacterial additives. These shoes are designed for summer and winter and distributed to workers seasonally. In recent years, manufacturers have considerably improved their designs, and modern work safety shoes combining safety with aesthetics have been brought to market. In addition to work safety shoes, boots are also widely used in slaughterhouses, farms, and agriculture. Made from polyurethane instead of PVC, these boots are preferred for their lightness, thermal insulation, and comfort.
