Work Safety Shoes
Work Safety Shoes
The discovery of shoe use dates back to 8000 and 3000 BC. Shoes are among the clothing items that have the greatest impact on human quality of life. Shoes play a very important role in our ability to maintain balance, walk and run by providing solid footing on the ground.
It would not be possible to walk on stony roads, thorny meadows, and hot sands without wearing shoes. Shoes provide protection as well as comfort. For this reason, work safety shoes have become an integral part of our working life.
The protection and benefits provided by work safety shoes are standardized and categorized. This allows us to make the right choices for the right job and conditions.
Work safety shoes consist of a sole and upper. The sole mostly consists of an outer layer of polyester polyurethane, which provides physical and chemical resistance, and a mid layer of polyurethane, which provides comfort and lightness.
The reason for using polyester polyurethane in the outer layer is its resistance to chemicals such as lubricants and fuel oil. In addition, protection against nail punctures is provided by using steel or composite insoles, especially in shoes used on construction sites. Composite materials are preferred because of their lightness, flexibility, and heat resistance.
Static electricity fires are prevented by using antistatic additives in shoe materials. The upper consists of inner and outer linings. Employee health and comfort are protected through moisture permeability and water repellency, as well as antibacterial additives.
These shoes are designed for summer and winter and distributed to workers seasonally.
In recent years, manufacturers have considerably improved their designs, and modern work safety shoes combining safety with aesthetics have been brought to market. In addition to work safety shoes, boots are also widely used in slaughterhouses, farms, and agriculture. Made from polyurethane instead of PVC, these boots are preferred for their lightness, thermal insulation, and comfort.
Turkey holds a share in the global occupational safety market with its competitive products and innovative designs. As of 2021, more than 70 enterprises had reached annual production numbers of approximately 14,000,000 pairs. Approximately 1,000,000 pairs of this production volume are exported.
