Şişecam Group Joined Global Sustainability League

Şişecam Group, a global player in all the main areas of glass such as flat glass, glassware, glass packaging and glass fiber and soda and chromium components, was included in "Best Emerging Markets Performers" list containing 100 companies from all over the world. The list is within the scope of the Vigeo Eiris Sustainability Index 2018 Assessment in which 855 companies from 35 sectors in 31 countries were included. Şişecam Group, having mainstreamed sustainability principles in all of its operations, aims to create people and environment-centered sustainable value and steps forward with its responsible approach to its stakeholders while continuing to preserve its foundational ethical values—transparency, accountability and open management approach. Vigeo Eiris is an international institution offering research and rating services to investors, public and non-governmental organizations in environmental, social and governance areas. It analyzes risks and opportunities under 6 main titles and 38 subjects in the environmental, social and governance areas. In this research, which is repeated every 6 months, environment, human rights, human resources, social and economic status of society, business manner and corporate governance categories are taken as the basis. The companies are assessed within the frame of the work they carry out in the fields of human rights, decent employment practices, environmental protection, corporate governance, business ethics and social and economic development in areas where they operate.
