Şişecam and ASELSAN are to Cooperate

ASELSAN and Şişecam Group signed a cooperation protocol to develop solutions for product composition and optimization as well as to supply materials meeting the standards required for ASELSAN's defense industry projects. Under the protocol, Şişecam Group and ASELSAN will collaborate to produce domestic and national solutions by leveraging their combined capabilities, expertise, and experience developed over their respective histories in their fields of operation. The cooperation, which will run for a minimum of 2 years and be implemented in two phases comprising preliminary studies and prototype production, aims to develop a broad range of glass and ceramic materials for various equipment to be developed by ASELSAN, including periscope glasses for the national tank. The materials in question are designed to be resistant to thermal shock, possess high strength, and exhibit different optical performance characteristics compared to conventional glass depending on the specific requirements of the relevant equipment. Şişecam's development of product compositions for ASELSAN use is intended to begin with raw materials and encompass domestic and national production processes at every stage.
