SAPI Group Decided to Invest in Turkey

Sapi Group Chairman of the Board of Directors Marcel Fertl and Sapi Turkey Founding Partner and General Manager Çiğdem Arslan announced that the German Sapi Group, marking its 50th year in surface finishing technologies, has decided to invest in Turkey. Founded in 1970 by Klaus Fertl, Sapi GmbH has provided professional services in sandblasting across global markets for 50 years. Through quality service delivery aligned with market needs, the company quickly became a market leader. Rising demand prompted the company to establish operations in six additional countries beyond Germany and expand its distribution network. In 2020, the Sapi Group decided to open a factory in Turkey and expand its sales network. This decision extended the company's global distribution network and marked its third factory investment. Today Sapi Group is headquartered in Germany with operations in seven countries. In addition to its subsidiaries, the group maintains distributorships and technical service points across numerous regions worldwide. Addressing questions about the investment plan, Sapi Group Chairman of the Board of Directors Marcel Fertl stated that their state-of-the-art sandblasting and paint systems, produced for 50 years without compromising on quality, will become more accessible to Turkey and the Middle Eastern market. He emphasized that Turkey holds significant logistical advantages. Fertl noted that the company plans to begin operations in a 3,000 square meter indoor facility this year and will establish a production team of at least 100 employees at the Turkish factory within one year. Fertl also highlighted that Sapi Group is pleased to have established cooperation with Arslan, who has led numerous successful projects in surface technologies over several years.
