Important Move from WellSpring Consumer Healthcare WellSpring Consumer Healthcare Acquires Iconic OTC Skin Care Brands from Bayer WellSpring Consumer Healthcare, a developer and marketer of leading personal care and over-the-counter products, has acquired a portfolio of well-known and trusted over-the-counter (OTC) skin care brands from Bayer AG. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. WellSpring Consumer Healthcare is owned by Avista Capital Partners, a prominent middle-market healthcare private equity firm with experience in building OTC platforms. The brands include Cortate® and Complex 15®, two Canadian therapeutic skincare brands, as well as A+D® and Solarcaine®, the leading diaper rash and sunburn relief brands, respectively. The well-known brand A+D® has been supported by pediatricians and relied upon by consumers for more than 80 years. Solarcaine®, a medicated burn relief brand recommended by pharmacists, has long been trusted by consumers.
