Bayır and Melekoğlu families entered the chemistry sector by first founding Baymel Ayakkabı Firması (Baymel Footwear Company) in 2002 and Baymel Kimya Poliüretan Sistemleri (Baymel Chemistry Polyurethane Systems) in the last quarter of 2011. Baymel Chemistry Polyurethane Systems has become a known name of success not only where it is located, Gaziantep, but around Turkey too by being one step ahead of the changes and developments in the sector. The first and only Polyurethane System House in Anatolia. By benefiting from the advantages of consumption where it is located, Baymel Chemistry Polyurethane Systems is the one and only "Anatolian Independent Polyurethane System House" company which is funded based solely on domestic capital. The company still remains to be the only polyurethane house in the country. Investment in Polyurethane System Houses includes product groups such as footwear, rigid, CASE. Our company, beyond ensuring qualified production, has embraced the main principles of sustainability as providing a safe workplace, worker safety, protecting the environment. These principles support our R&D projects of developing new, eco-friendly technologies and products by decreasing the emission rates; goals of using renewable energy resources and enhancing waste management. Starting off with 5,000 m² of confined space, an annual capacity of 8,000 tons of base polyester and 8,000 tons of prepolymer in 2011, the factory has expanded to 17,000 m² confined space, an annual capacity of 35,000 tons of polyester, 40,000 tons of prepolymer and 130,000 tons of formulated polyols in 2019. Our production is done by 80% automation in our high-technology equipped factory. We Serve 4 Main Groups: BayFLEX It is a group of flexible foam systems which are formed with isocyanate and special polyols and have low density, low deformation and high elasticity. • Moulded foam systems (furniture, automotive, medical), • Vacuumed moulded foam systems (furniture, automotive), • Integral skin systems (furniture, automotive, medical), • Moulded viscoelastic systems (bed, medical), • Air filter polyurethane systems (automotive).

BayFOOT

Baymel sells PU systems that are used in footwear by gathering its broad range of products under the brand BAYFOOT. In the footwear industry around the world, polyurethane consumption has increased and is overtaking the places of prior leader industrial products (PVC, EVA, etc.) because of its abrasion resistance, bending resistance, flexibility, lightness and simple application. Baymel offers products with a variety of physical properties ranging from a density of 25 to a density of 60 for differing applications according to customer requests and variation of machines (moulding or direct injection). The products split into 3 groups: polyol, prepolymer and catalyst. • Boot systems, • Work safety footwear systems, • Sole systems, • Systems for slippers.

BayRIGID

Polyurethane systems that have a main intended purpose of usage in insulation. These systems that have varying densities and consume a variation of blowing gases can be worked in different reaction profiles and under different process conditions. A mixture of polyol system and polymeric isocyanate (PMDI) forms a hard foam by expanding when a blowing agent is added. 90%-92% of the foam cells are closed and hard. They are good heat insulators. That is why rigid systems are the best heat insulating systems used in the world currently.
