Trends that change yearly, especially with the introduction of social media into our lives, spread much faster and are adopted by large populations. For this reason, manufacturers and designers in the fashion industry follow these trends and shape their designs accordingly. When we examine shoe trends for the 2022-2023 Autumn/Winter season, we encounter pieces combining summer's vivid colors with different fabrics. Leather, a perennial trend in footwear, remains highly fashionable this year. Additionally, gothic pieces feature prominently in shop windows. Thicker platforms in high heels and flat leather boots are among this year's fashion trends. One notable fashion is the "preppy" trend, which includes school-inspired clothing and shoes. In the shoe industry influenced by this trend, we see Oxford-style shoes and loafers. This season marks a return to early 2000s aesthetics. Patent leather pointed-toed boots and shiny shoes that were fashionable in the 2000s combine with this season's fashionable colors and adorn shop windows.

Loafers

When examining shoe fashion, loafers—also called college shoes—are among the first models encountered this winter. We can see vibrant orange leather boots and loafers in shop windows. This winter season, glitter is used frequently alongside colors. Shiny stone shoes, which entered our lives in the 2000s, also appear in the windows of leading brands. Today, consumers can determine their preferences according to trends as well as convenience and comfort. For this reason, manufacturers must analyze and follow each season's trends carefully. With increased production, women shop not only for their needs but also seek models that highlight their personalities and styles.
