Şişecam Wins Two Awards for Its Annual Report

Şişecam, one of Turkey's most established companies, has won two awards at the ARC (Annual Report Competition), the world's most prestigious annual report competition organized for the 34th time this year by MerComm. Şişecam's Annual Report received a "Silver" award in the traditional annual report category and a "Bronze" award in the cover and design category, which was conceived around the concept of "Perfect Harmony Perfect Operation." The results of the ARC awards, the world's largest international reporting competition organized for the 34th time by MerComm, known as the Oscar of annual reports, have been announced. Şişecam, which plays a leading role in flat glass, glass tableware, glass packaging, chemicals, automotive, glass fiber, mining, energy and recycling business segments, saw its Annual Report recognized with two awards. Şişecam's Annual Report received a "Silver" award in the traditional annual report category and a "Bronze" award in the cover and design category, which was conceived around the concept of "Perfect Harmony Perfect Operation." In this year's competition, 1,690 annual reports were evaluated, with 101 companies from Turkey submitting applications. Şişecam's Annual Report was the only report from the glass sector to receive an award. The ARC Awards, presented since 1987 and based in the United States, today hold the distinction of being the only annual report competition with no affiliation to any publication or trade organization. The competition, which accepts submissions from large corporations to mid-sized companies, from government institutions to NGOs and annual report agencies, is conducted with the objective of recognizing and rewarding companies that prepare their annual reports with creativity and innovation in mind and to publicize their work internationally.
