Cosmetics Sector Exports Reach USD 1.402 Billion
Cosmetic products, which hold an important place as essential items in daily life, continue to show growth in an expanding sector. According to İKMİB data, total cosmetics sector exports for January-December 2021 reached USD 1.402 billion.
According to İKMİB data, the Netherlands was the leading export destination in January. Other countries in the top ten following the Netherlands in January were Italy, the United States, Germany, Lebanon, Spain, Iraq, Israel, China and the United Kingdom. The largest increase among the top 10 countries in January was 278.54 percent, again in the Netherlands.
Chemical exports to this country amounted to USD 153.277 million. The top five product groups most exported to the Netherlands were, in order: "mineral fuels, mineral oils and products", "plastics and articles thereof", "inorganic chemicals", "essential oils, cosmetics and soap" and "rubber and rubber articles".
