Turkey's Exports to Gulf Countries Reach $1.4 Billion

Turkey's USD 1.4 Billion Exports to Gulf Countries According to data compiled from Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM), Turkey's exports rose 10.4% last month compared to the same period in 2022, reaching USD 19 billion 375 million. Turkey's exports to Gulf countries in January reached USD 1 billion 431 million, up 16.1% year-on-year. Last month, Turkey exported USD 671.2 million to Iraq, USD 223.1 million to the UAE, USD 202.8 million to Saudi Arabia, USD 191.7 million to Iran, USD 54.9 million to Qatar, USD 45.4 million to Kuwait, USD 27.6 million to Oman and USD 14.3 million to Bahrain. In January, Saudi Arabia recorded the highest proportional export growth. Jewelry led exports with USD 31.3 million. Chemicals and chemical products accounted for the largest exports to Bahrain at USD 2.3 million and to Iran at USD 46.8 million, cereals, legumes, oilseeds and products to Iraq at USD 164 million, furniture, paper and forest products to Qatar at USD 8.1 million as the top exporting sectors. Ready-made garments and clothing to Kuwait at USD 5.7 million, carpets to Saudi Arabia at USD 29.3 million and cereals, legumes, oilseeds and products to Oman at USD 6 million were the top exports.

Istanbul leads in exports to Gulf countries

Istanbul was the leading exporter to Gulf countries in January. Istanbul exported USD 122 million to the UAE, USD 7.2 million to Bahrain, USD 178 million to Iraq, USD 112.6 million to Iran, USD 27 million to Qatar, USD 20.3 million to Kuwait, USD 65 million to Saudi Arabia and USD 9.5 million to Oman.   Source
