İsmail Gülle Comments on Growth Figures Turkey's Exporters Assembly (TİM) Chairman İsmail Gülle, commenting on Turkey's economic growth figures for the second quarter of the year: "Turkey's economy grew by 11 percent in 2021. Turkey continues to grow through exports. Based on data released by TÜİK, Turkey's economy grew by 11 percent in 2021. Net exports contributed 4.9 percentage points to growth. 44.2 percent of our 2021 growth was realized through export contribution.

Noting that Turkish exporters achieved a major success with USD 225 billion in exports during months when the pandemic's impact was deeply felt globally in the economy and exports, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said: "During those days, we expressed our belief that difficult times would pass and we would enter a period of rapid recovery. The figures we see today prove once again how right we were in our confidence in Turkish exporters."
