IMCD Continues Investments in Türkiye
IMCD celebrates its 25th anniversary by renewing its logo and motto. The company, which has been operating in Turkey for 17 years, continues to create added value for both the economy and its customers through recent acquisitions.
IMCD, which delivers specialty chemicals and food ingredients to approximately 50,000 customers across 54 countries on 6 continents in fields ranging from pharmaceuticals to cosmetics, construction to paints and plastics, and textiles to food, continues its growth in Turkey on its 25th anniversary. Operating in Turkey for 17 years and providing more than 2,000 customers with an extensive product portfolio supported by innovative formulations in line with industry trends, the company continues to strengthen its leadership in its sector through recent company acquisitions while creating added value for the economy.
Based in the Netherlands and listed on Amsterdam Euronext, the company sells, markets and distributes specialty chemicals and food ingredients in line with industry trends to its suppliers and customers in EMEA, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. IMCD, which also develops custom formulations for its customers and suppliers in 55 laboratories across 54 countries, holds the title of world leader in its field with a turnover of EUR 2.7 billion.
IMCD Turkey General Manager Aylin Zakuto said, "We work to deliver the best to our customers in the most reliable way with our strong team of 3,500 technical and commercial experts worldwide. Therefore, our responsibility is very great. With awareness of this responsibility, we never compromise on quality and cooperate with world-class corporate manufacturers.
We follow innovations, develop new formulations in our laboratories and offer new solutions to industry every day. At the core of this approach, which makes IMCD a leading and pioneering company responding to the needs of the 21st century, lies foresight and continuous improvement. We reflected this philosophy in our logo and motto on our 25th anniversary. With our newly developed brand promise "Creating a World of Opportunity," we are telling all our business partners that we will offer them entirely new opportunities. The infinity symbol in our logo represents the unlimited opportunities we will provide to our customers," he said.
"We work with 2,000 companies in Turkey"
Zakuto, noting that they serve more than 2,000 companies with 82 employees in Turkey, continued: "On our 25th anniversary, we continue our path by expanding our targets and realizing new opportunities. As IMCD, we trust in Turkey's growth and potential and are continuing our investments. In addition to the growth investments we made in previous years, we strengthened our leadership at the beginning of this year by adding Ejder Kimya's personal care division. This acquisition was a very solid step in line with IMCD's global growth strategy to strengthen IMCD Turkey's footprint in the personal care market. By adding Ejder Kimya's personal care market expertise and comprehensive portfolio to IMCD, we expanded the solutions we provide to our customers and contributed to our suppliers' growth in the personal care market. Thanks to our paints and food laboratory operating in Istanbul, as well as our personal care and construction chemicals laboratories, which we will open in autumn this year, we will have the opportunity to provide more comprehensive services to both our customers and suppliers."We successfully managed the pandemic period through digitalization
Zakuto noted that they saw the great advantage of IMCD's digitalization investments during the pandemic period, saying: "Since the safety of our employees was our first priority, we encouraged our team to work from home and transferred our meetings and work to digital platforms. We activated our MyIMCD B2B platform. With this application, to which we add new customers each day, we transferred many services such as online ordering, sample requests and technical support to the digital platform, making IMCD active 24 hours. Through online virtual fairs and online webinars led by our experts, we continued to communicate innovations. Our investments in digitalization will also continue," he said.Advertisement
