Halkbank Opens New Doors for Women Entrepreneurs in E-Exports

Halkbank, which continues to take innovative steps to strengthen women entrepreneurs in exports, has launched the second phase of its Women's Footprint in Exports Project. Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan stated that they believe the project will contribute to the country's economy and aim to increase women entrepreneurs' share of exports.
Halkbank, which offers specialized products and solutions to enable women to play a greater role in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, continues the "Women's Footprint in Exports" project this year with women entrepreneurs, having launched it last year with women's cooperatives.
The opening meeting held with the participation of women entrepreneurs involved in the project began with speeches by Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan and ShopiVerse General Manager Orxan Isayev, reflecting the project's effective and innovative approaches. Following the speeches, "Export Entry Training" was provided at the Halkbank General Management building located in Istanbul Financial Centre.
Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan first provided information about the first phase of the project, stating: "Last year, 100 women's cooperatives received e-commerce training and mentorship services. Additionally, with integration support to international e-commerce platforms, products were exported through platforms such as Amazon UK and Etsy. In the second phase of our project, we aim to contribute to women entrepreneurs who are just starting in e-exports".
Women's Footprint in Exports Project continues this time with women entrepreneurs
In the second phase of the project, Halkbank will provide comprehensive training to 60 selected entrepreneurs on topics such as accessing foreign markets, inventory and supply management, logistics, and return processes. At the end of this two-month program, 10 successful women entrepreneurs will be granted e-export software and integration setup, enabling entrepreneurs to manage all export processes from a single dashboard.
Support for women entrepreneurs in the export mobilization
Stating that they aim to enable women entrepreneurs to contribute to the country's exports through the Women's Footprint in Exports Project, Arslan stated: "As Halkbank, since 2021, we have provided financing opportunities of TRY 72 billion to 232,000 women entrepreneurs. According to the Turkish Banks Association's July 2024 report, with this support we provide to women entrepreneurship and women's participation in economic life, we alone provide 37% of women entrepreneur loans in the banking sector".
Fourth edition of Producing Women Competition launching
Osman Arslan noted that they will organize the 4th edition of the now-traditional Halkbank Producing Women Competition this year, stating: "We have started accepting applications for the competition for our women entrepreneurs who produce and create added value. Through this competition that strengthens the contribution of women to the entrepreneurship ecosystem, we will continue to support our women entrepreneurs".
