Erzurum's Foreign Trade Reaches $62 Million

Erzurum Generated USD 62 Million in Foreign Trade The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Ministry of Commerce shared preliminary foreign trade data produced within the context of the general trade system. During January-September of this year, Erzurum recorded exports of USD 17 million 53 thousand, imports of USD 45 million 130 thousand, totaling USD 62 million 183 thousand in foreign trade. According to DOSİAD analysis, Erzurum's ratio of exports to imports stood at 24.89 percent on a monthly basis for September, and 37.8 percent for the January-September period as a whole. Exports accounted for 30.63 percent of total foreign trade value in September's record, and 37.78 percent for the January-September period combined.

According to the data, exports from Erzurum totaled USD 1 million 426 thousand in January, USD 1 million 727 thousand in February, USD 1 million 343 thousand in March, USD 1 million 677 thousand in April, USD 1 million 806 thousand in May, USD 1 million 844 thousand in June, USD 1 million 318 thousand in July, USD 3 million 636 thousand in August, and USD 2 million 275 thousand in September, bringing the total to USD 17 million 53 thousand in exports.

Imports to Erzurum totaled USD 3 million 291 thousand in January, USD 2 million 6 thousand in February, USD 5 million 333 thousand in March, USD 4 million 536 thousand in April, USD 4 million 857 thousand in May, USD 5 million 621 thousand in June, USD 5 million 295 thousand in July, USD 6 million 765 thousand in August, and USD 7 million 427 thousand in September, bringing the total to USD 45 million 130 thousand in imports.

From Erzurum, foreign trade totaled USD 4 million 717 thousand in January, USD 3 million 733 thousand in February, USD 6 million 676 thousand in March, USD 6 million 213 thousand in April, USD 6 million 663 thousand in May, USD 7 million 465 thousand in June, USD 6 million 613 thousand in July, USD 10 million 401 thousand in August, and USD 9 million 702 thousand in September.  

Exports Rise 9.2 Percent in September

In September, the foreign trade deficit increased by 268.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from USD 2 billion 607 million to USD 9 billion 595 million. In September 2022, exports increased 9.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year to USD 22 billion 612 million, while imports rose 38.1 percent to USD 32 billion 208 million. According to preliminary foreign trade data produced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Ministry of Commerce within the framework of the general trade system, in September 2022, exports increased 9.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year to USD 22 billion 612 million, while imports rose 38.1 percent to USD 32 billion 208 million.  

Exports Rise 17 Percent in January-September Period

According to the general trade system, exports in the January-September period of 2022 increased 17.0 percent compared to the same period of the previous year to USD 188 billion 152 million, while imports rose 40.4 percent to USD 271 billion 249 million.
