East Anatolia Region Export Figures Announced According to data from Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM), member companies of the East Anatolia Exporters Association (DAİB) achieved exports of USD 245 million 201 thousand in September with an increase of 7.02 percent. Based on TİM and DAİB data compiled, member companies of the Association shipped products to 152 countries/regions in September. Industrial products exports recorded by the East Anatolia Exporters Association in September increased by 6.61 percent from USD 167 million 216 thousand to USD 178 million 274 thousand, agricultural products exports rose to USD 37 million 928 thousand, and mining sector exports increased by 159.89 percent from USD 11 million 158 thousand to USD 28 million 999 thousand. Industrial products constituted USD 178 million 274 thousand of the Association's September exports, with the Chemical sector ranking first with USD 32 million 317 thousand, up 19.34 percent, followed by the Mining sector in second place with USD 29 million, up 159.90 percent, and the Steel sector in third place with USD 27 million 448 thousand, up 55.34 percent. Furniture, Paper and Forest Products exports amounted to USD 15 million 890 thousand. DAİB member companies achieved exports in the framework of agricultural products in the said month as follows: USD 6 million 475 thousand in Cereals, Legumes, Oilseeds and Products; USD 3 million 839 thousand in Fresh Fruits and Vegetable Products; and USD 4 million 441 thousand in Fruit and Vegetable Products.

Largest Exports to Iraq

When the Association's September exports are evaluated by country, Iraq ranked first with USD 49 million 620 thousand. This country was followed by Iran with USD 14 million 391 thousand, Azerbaijan-Nakhchivan with USD 13 million 831 thousand, Israel with USD 8 million 787 thousand, and People's Republic of China with USD 8 million 259 thousand.
