DAİB Achieves Exports of $212 Million 377 Thousand

East Anatolian Exporters Association Achieved USD 212.4 Million in Exports According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), member companies of the East Anatolian Exporters Association (DAİB) achieved exports of USD 212 million 377 thousand in August with a growth rate of 9.14 percent. Based on compiled data from TİM and DAİB, member firms of the Association shipped products to 154 countries/regions in August. Industrial product exports recorded by the East Anatolian Exporters Association in August increased by 12.97 percent from USD 143 million 221 thousand to USD 161 million 801 thousand. Agricultural product exports reached USD 30 million 936 thousand, while the mining sector's exports rose by 70.76 percent from USD 11 million 501 thousand to USD 19 million 640 thousand. Among the Association's August exports totalling USD 161 million 801 thousand in industrial products, the Chemistry sector ranked first with USD 34 million 178 thousand, representing a 54.51 percent increase, followed by the Steel sector in second place with USD 27 million 27 thousand, a 33.69 percent increase, and the Machinery sector in third place with USD 22 million 308 thousand, a 15.56 percent increase. Furniture, Paper and Forest Products generated USD 15 million 873 thousand in exports. DAİB member firms achieved the following agricultural product exports in the said month: USD 4 million 590 thousand in cereals, legumes, oil seeds and their products; USD 2 million 374 thousand in fresh fruit and vegetable products; and USD 4 million 833 thousand in processed fruit and vegetable products. When the Association's August exports are evaluated by country, Iraq ranked first with USD 38 million 815 thousand. This was followed by Azerbaijan-Nakhchivan with USD 13 million 632 thousand, Iran with USD 13 million 356 thousand, the United States with USD 9 million 748 thousand, and Germany with USD 7 million 781 thousand.
