Alternatif Bank strengthened its presence in global capital markets with an important step. The bank successfully completed the issuance of USD 200 million in AT1 eurobonds qualifying as additional tier one capital.

Alternatif Bank, which has continued its operations in Turkey consistently for 34 years, successfully concluded the issuance of AT1 (Additional Tier 1) eurobonds, marking a significant milestone in global capital markets. The issuance, totalling USD 200 million, strengthened the Bank's capital structure while receiving strong interest from international investors. The transaction demonstrated the Bank's position in international markets and investor confidence once again.

Demand exceeding USD 1.2 billion received during the issuance process surpassed six times the transaction size, pointing to strong investor confidence. In terms of geographical diversification, investor distribution analysis showed that 59% came from UK and Ireland investors, 25% from the Middle East, 12% from Continental Europe and 4% from Asia and US-based offshore investors. This broad and balanced distribution reaffirmed Alternatif Bank's increasing visibility and credibility among institutional investors in different regions.

Evaluated as a reflection of increasing recent interest in the Turkish banking sector in international markets, the issuance represented an important step supporting Alternatif Bank's long-term growth strategy and strong balance sheet structure.

“The interest shown in our issuance is a strong indicator of confidence in the Turkish banking sector”
Levent Güven, Deputy General Manager responsible for Treasury and Financial Institutions at Alternatif Bank, made the following comments on the issuance: “The high and diverse investor interest in our AT1 eurobond issuance is a strong indicator of confidence in our Bank and the Turkish banking sector. With this transaction, we aim to further strengthen our capital structure while increasing our effectiveness in international markets. We will continue to take determined steps to support our sustainable growth in the coming period.”

Alternatif Bank aims to continue its efforts to strengthen its presence in international financial markets and increase its support to the real sector in the coming period.
