Acrylic fiber producer Aksa Akrilik reported revenue growth of 91% in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year, while net profit surged eightfold to TRY 424 million.

According to the disclosed results, the company's revenue in the second quarter of 2021 increased 91% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching TRY 3.067 billion. The company's net profit rose eightfold when compared to the second quarter of 2020, reaching TRY 424 million. DowAksa, a joint venture under joint management with a 50% ownership stake, also contributed to Aksa Akrilik's financial results by increasing its revenue and net profit in 2021. Cengiz Taş, Board Member and General Manager of Aksa Akrilik, stated that they had a successful first half in terms of operational and financial performance, saying: "Our investments in sustainability and new products that will carry Aksa Akrilik into the future continue. In the first half of the year, we made capital expenditures totaling over USD 31 million.
