Senior appointments have taken place at Samsung Electronics. Accordingly, TM Roh will continue to oversee the company's mobile operations as Head of the Mobile Experience (MX) Business Unit, while Vice Chairman Jun will continue in his role as Head of the Memory Business Unit.
Senior appointments have been made at Samsung Electronics. Accordingly, TM Roh will continue to oversee the company's mobile operations as Head of the Mobile Experience (MX) Business Unit, while Vice Chairman Jun will continue in his role as Head of the Memory Business Unit.
Samsung Electronics officially announced that TM Roh has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Head of the Device Experience (DX) Business Unit. Roh will serve as co-CEO of the company alongside Vice Chairman Young Hyun Jun, Head of the Device Solutions (DS) Division.
With the aim of strengthening Samsung's technology leadership, Janghyun Yoon has been appointed as Head of the DX Business Unit, Technology Director and Head of Samsung Research, while Hongkun Park has been appointed as Head of the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT).
Yoon, who previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Samsung Venture Investment, was responsible for the development of software platforms, IoT and Tizen products in the MX Business Unit before joining Samsung Venture Investment.
Hongkun Park, currently serving as Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Physics at Harvard University, continues his work as a recognized researcher in the fields of nanoscience, quantum science and engineering.
